First off, I just want to say thank you to everyone who has invested their time and energy over the years, helping newcomers, answering questions, volunteering their skills, and passionately defending our mission and vision. We would not be here today if it weren’t for your dedication and passion. Over the years, our admin team has worked tirelessly along with you to support this community the best they could with the information they had. Along the way we recognize that there were many challenging situations that made it difficult to find an outcome that everyone could agree on, and in other situations, there was simply not enough information to make a decisive determination one way or the other. This inevitably caused people to become upset, frustrated, and to lose faith. I am proud of our admin team and the work they have done, and ultimately, the fault lies with me, as I’ve known for some time that change was needed to make things more efficient and objective. After careful consideration, I have made the decision to move our community support in-house, under the capable care and oversight our team in South Africa. As many of you have noticed, we started making changes last week, and those changes will continue to take place in the coming days and weeks as the transition is made. We will probably make mistakes as this is all worked out and as the new team takes over, so please be patient with us as they are adjusting to these changes as well. I will personally check in with you here as things progress to see how things are going. They will also be collecting your feedback as we try new things to see what fits.
